seeding tray is used for seeding in the seedbed in the greenhouse. 

Seeding tray of the size of the shape is 54.9 cm *27.8 cm, the depth of the hole varies according to the size of the hole, 3-10 cm. Each seedling disc has 50-800 (50, 72, 128, 200, 288, 392, 512, 648) holes and other types. At present, the domestic selection is the SEEDING TRAY  the common hole plate specification is 72 holes.

The size of the standard hole disc is 540mm×280mm, and the number of holes is between 18 and 800 due to the different diameters of holes.In the cultivation of medium and small seedlings, 72- 288 holes disc is appropriate.

Strict hole dish seedling, its operation process includes preparation before sowing, sowing, bud promotion, greening into seedlings and other stages, each stage is connected, different stages to adopt different management methods.
Take tomato seedling as an example to illustrate the operation process of hole dish seedling:
The first is the preparation before sowing, including hole disc cleaning, disinfection, seed treatment (seed disinfection and pelletization) and substrate preparation.Then enter the sowing workshop to carry out precise sowing on the precision sowing machine, the sowing process includes filling soil (matrix), hole pressing, sowing, covering and watering.
After that, the germination was accelerated into the bud chamber, and kept at about 28℃, humidity above 90%, about 2 ~ 3 days after the emergence of seedlings.When there is about 80% of the seed top soil seedling, the hole disc moved into the green room, so that the seedlings receive light, while controlling the temperature of about 25℃, so as to keep the seedlings continue to emerge, but also to prevent the growth.
When the seedlings came out, the seedling stage was managed to control the temperature of the green room at about 25℃ during the day and 15℃ at night, and keep the substrate moist. Seedlings should be tested 7 to 10 days before transplanting to adapt them to field conditions.

The advantages of seedling plate seedling are: seedling neat, strong, save seeds, developed root system, easy transplantation and so on.
Precautions for seeding with seedling tray include:
1. Substrate: the seeding substrate used for seedling tray should be non-toxic and insect-free, with good ventilation and drainage and stable PH value. It should not be fertilized in the substrate, and only the nutrients carried by the substrate should be retained.
2. Water quality fertilizer: water application watering, avoid pouring fertilizer water or sewage, only in the seedlings grow true leaves, can be poured with small concentration of fertilizer, but it is better to root spraying fertilizer, spraying 0.1-0.2% urea and potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution can achieve seedlings need nutrients.
3. Sowing: small seeds in sowing is generally not covered with soil or mixed with soil sowing, larger soil thickness to seed size about 2 times as appropriate. After sowing, those who like light can only moisturize, and those who do not like light need to cover a layer of newspaper covered with words on the acupoint plate to achieve the effect of shading. After sowing, dip dish method or spray wet method is used to wet the matrix in the hole dish. If the matrix is dry before emergence, it should be sprayed wet and thoroughly in time. To ensure that the seeds have enough water supply, to avoid the dead seeds.
4. Temperature: different seeds have different germination temperature, but generally 20-25℃ for most seeds like the temperature, in the seedlings out of qi, to lower the temperature slightly, so as to avoid the occurrence of seedling cauze disease, high temperature prone to grow phenomenon, seedlings prone to lodging, resulting in seedling failure.
